One person, many different people.

Strategy has long been an opaque component of the branding process, cloaked in mysterious methodologies and inherited guesswork. Every agency does it a bit differently, and every strategist’s portfolio seems to feature a different (yet similarly vague) job description. Ironically, I've found that the easiest way to make a strategist squirm in their chair is to ask them to explain brand strategy.

Noticing this early in my career set me on a path to discovering the role of strategy in branding, and what a useful one looks like. It’s led me into some of the top advertising  and branding agencies in the world, from the United States, to Australia, to England, all before my 28th birthday. And it’s paved the way for a life and lifestyle that always seems to be changing.

These personal and professional leaps have helped me become immune to social echo chambers that so often lead to creative laziness, stereotypes, and the dangerous love for one-size-fits-all solutions. With this medley of acquired knowledge I work to create unmistakable brands, helping them say and do stuff that reflects a perspective, not merely a position. I do this by coming up with creative concepts for companies seeking a new or evolved identity, in partnership with talented designers.

Practically speaking, I help agencies be uncommonly profitable by knocking out substantive strategy and copywriting material quickly, turning around work that is as thoughtful as it is creatively actionable. It’s probably why I’ve been offered a full-time position at nearly every agency I’ve worked with.

“Jack is a super brain and a lovely human. He’s an intuitively intelligent person whose brain works fast - he sees challenges and opportunities naturally. He’s creatively brave in expressing his ideas, which clients and creatives loved. And that perfect balance of strong / open minded. I bet he’s blushing now. You should work with him.”

“Jack Wimmer was and is, to date, my favourite-ever employee.

“Jack is a truly original thinker. It's evident in his references, his ability to immediately connect strategy with real action and, most brilliantly, the fact that in almost every engagement he introduces a totally new term, model or way of thinking. I've seen him do this on numerous occasions, and it's a direct challenge to the traditional thinking that has dogged this industry for years.”
